Tuesday 4 February 2020 was World Cancer Day
As part of our commitment to reintegrate incarcerated women into the society although they are behind bars, and to empower them, DAA celebrated the World Cancer Day with the prisoners in the 3 Lebanese Women Prison (Baabda, Tripoli and Zahle) on Tuesday 4 February 2020.
As the theme this year was ‘I Am and I Will’, the raising awareness sessions was about positive actions to make a difference, and about cancer prevention
and control.
To celebrate, incarcerated women wore special bracelet to show their support for people with cancer.
