Dar Al Amal (DAA) is a Lebanese NGO, established in 1970. Its mission is
to safeguard the rights of vulnerable children, young girls at-risk and women
in situations of exploitation, prostitution and violence, and /or in conflict
with the law.
Since 1996, DAA support, without any discrimination, imprisoned women in
the 3 women prisons in Lebanon (Baabda, Tripoli, and Zahle).
Diakonia is a Swedish faith based non-governmental development
organization. Diakonia works in partnership with over 400 civil-society
organizations in 34 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin
America.
Lebanon Prison is a news Hub for prison related laws, regulations,
research, studies, publications, etc. The objectives of this Hub is to
highlight on the current Lebanon prisons situation and the projects implemented
by the NGO’s working in Lebanon’s prisons.
Lebanon Prison is a knowledge base platform designed to share the effort
and the experience of its contributors who support prisoners and their
families.
Additionally, Lebanon Prisons aims also at supporting indirectly
prisoners.This is achieved through the “voice of prisoners “where they can post
their own stories.
